MINUTES, ANNUAL MEETING PART TWO

TRASH: Allied Waste became our trash disposer on January 1, 2011. Delaware Solid Waste Authority will no longer offer recycling as of April 2011. Our HOA will begin offering it to homeowners on April 1, 2011. This will be at an additional cost to the HOA. As of January 1, 2011, yard waste will NOT be permitted in the regular trash or recycling. Our trash task force, Jerry and Mike are exploring options for our community. Presently, if a homeowner has yard waste it must be taken care by homeowner at his expense.

OPEN DISCUSSSION: Steve T. has been working on the issue of the tax ditch clogging and overflowing at Oswego/Palo Verde and Oceanside Parkway. The tax ditch which is owned and taken care by the Tax Ditch Association and DNREC runs from Bear Trap through Ocean Farms through our community. DNREC has come in the past to clear the blockage (Thanks too, to Rep Gerald Hocker) but claims it has no further funds for this.We must begin allocating funds for this use.

Ocean View has voted to annex the property adjacent to Clearwater at the corner of Double Bridges and Muddy Neck. Rick S. from our community attended the meeting. The plan is it develop the property for multi story commercial and residential. The goal of Ocean View is create more tax revenue for the town; once annexed by Ocean View, that town will have the authority to rezone commercial.

The Ice Cream ladies have retired, according to Marjie. They have sold ice cream at the pool in summer for six years and have bought many things for the pool and clubhouse: Grills, coffee pots; chairs, tables; umbrellas; clock; vacuum cleaner. Any volunteers to take over this project??

 

The vote for new Board Members were counted; a nomination from the floor for Virginia B was included. New Board memebers elected were: Crystal; Nancy, and Deb. Virginia will serve as an alternate in the event of a vacancy. The By Laws will be reviewed as to whether the procedure today was correct
