BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
NOVEMBER 15,2008
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Nancy, Joe, Deb, Tony, and Butch.
REAL ESTATE REPORT:Four homes are sold recently in our community.
TREASURER'S REPORT: It was approved for 2009 assessments paid after March 15, 2009 to be charged a late fee of $50. A discussion of allowing a discount for early payment of assessments was tabled until next year. The decision to move some HOA funds to a second financial institution was also tabled as the FDIC limits have been raised to $250,000.
ARCITECTURE REPORT: A discussion of parking problems: commercial vehicles, excessive numbers of vehicles at one home etc. Should HOA excercise its rights to enforce parking regulations? Do we have power to enforce a covenant we have not enforced previously? Gary and Joe will head a committee to develop ideas. Will discuss at Annual Meeting.
TREE COMMITTEE: Dead trees on common area have been identifed for removal. Owners who had dead trees on their limited common areas have been sent letters.
PONDS: Envirotech has come down to our price. Board approved the new contract. $7500 per year, plus chemicals and $1337 for special project. ( Clean out ditch on East Hampton ; also eradicate invasive Parrot Feather).
NEW BUSINESS: Looking for someone or several people to take over pool watchers schedule in 2009. Also Clearwater Current deadline December 13th.
