BOARD MEETING MAY 15, 2010
MEMBERS PRESENT: Nancy, Tony, Crystal, Leslie, Elaine. Meeting called to order at 10 AM.Next meeting: June 19, 2010.Minutes from April meeting, read and approved with two corrections.
TREASURER'S REPORT: 22 homeowners are in arrears.To date, $115,460 collected of $128,557. Crystal will send reminders of monies due when sending maintenance letters.Homeowners with outstanding assessments and fines will have no access to pool.
ARCHITECTURE: Crystal has sent letter to homeowners with maintenance issues: grass, weeds, etc. and pet issues.Thirty six letters have been sent and all have been given even handed treatment. First a warning letter with a response required by June 5th to give homeowners the holiday weekend to comply. Community appearance is highly important with the number of homes that are for sale.
The committee is considering a request to replace the metal roof on a Half Moon Bay home with shingles. The committee has been given an open ended, but time is of the essence, time frame to consult with roofing experts and give the homeowner a timely decision.
LANDSCAPING: Two holly trees planted around utility site along Muddy Neck Road. Dead trees removed around pool. Still discussing a red maple at Oceanside and South Hampton be. Thorny bushes still need to go in along Bethany Breeze fence.
POOL:Pool cover off May 17th; Mike has lined up powerwasher for deck and shed. Tennis court to be cleaned of debris. Stones to be topped off in pool parking lot. Volunteers for pool watching and cleaning have been scheduled for summer.
PONDS: Current contract expires 12/31/10. Aerator timers have been set.
ROADS/SIDEWALKS: Speed bumps to be repainted. Major road repair project scheduled for after summer season. We still need a sidewalk committee.
SOCIAL: Opening May 30th; Sundaes at the pool to begin when school is out.Community yard sale June 26th. Pot luck dinners: third Wednesday of month June, July, August. Will have a 50/50 drawing to offset paper and other supplies.
TREES: No report; still waiting for Lawson's.
OLD BUSINESS: Janet to be in charge of digitizing Re Sale certificate and documents.
NEW BUSINESS: Broken water pipe cap to be reported to Tidewater utilites.
