BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Nancy, Elaine, Debbie, Butch, Tony and Crystal. Meeting called to order at 10:05; Next monthly meeting will be May 15 at 10 am; Minutes from March 16th meeting were read and approved.
TREASURER'S REPORT: 35 homeowners have not paid for the year; or 80% have paid. #206 is no longer in bankruptcy so we will begin court action; we may pursue collection against #74 even though we have a lien on property; #48 is still protected by bankruptcy. Homeowners wtih outstanding assessments or FINES will not be allowed to use or volunteer at the pool.
ARC REPORT: Application from Key West style home to replace vertical vinyl siding with horizontal, due to water problems,was approved if completed in nine months.
LANDSCAPING: Need new bushes/trees around substation faciltiy on Muddy Neck. Thorn bushes are still approved for end of Bethany Breeze fence. Looking to install something at old Half Moon Bay sign site. Possibly Japanese maple.
POOL: First weeks of May remove pool cover/power wash deck and shed.
ROADS AND SIDEWALKS: Speed bumps to be repainted for $225. Re stone pool parking lot, $1,000. Road repair scheduled for after Labor Day: (1) East Hampton; (2) Monterray (3) Newport Village and Oceanside intersection (4) small section N Hampton Circle, near pond, which may involve repair of drainage pipe. Mike does not want to chair and sidewalk repair activity.
PONDS: One aerator was damaged by cold while in storage this winter in our shed; oil filed canister cracked. Replacment of whole aerator is cost prohibited. New part for repair would be $750; reconsitioned part $350. Will use reconditioned part.
TREES: Work to be done by Lawson in next few weeks, weather permitting. Lawsons will also remove loose debris left from winter storms.
SOCIAL: Opening pool party May 30, 2010 6 PM. geo will serve hotdogs and hamburers. Homeowners asked to bring a side dish or dessert. Nancy will replenish paper supplies for pool house. Covered dish suppers will begin third Wednesday of June, July and August. End of season party September 5th. Ice Cream Sundaes will be in July and August.
OLD BUSINESS: Janet P will take over the Resale Certificate package; she will scan and reproduce on disc. Fee is still $150 for each homeowner request. We will continue food drive in summer; donations may be brought to pool. New Delmarva Power street lights for front end of Blue Heron have been put on hold: Delmarva required us to assume all liabilty for any damage from digging.
NEW BUSINESS: Newsletters will go out in May. Four lettes have gone out re:pets. Dogs running loose; too many pets; and a potbelly pig. ALL HOMEOWNERS WITH OUTSTANDING FINES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO USE POOL OR VOLUNTEER AT POOL.
