BOARD OF DIRECTORS MONTHLY MEETIING

 

BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Joe, Nancy, Tony, Butch, Deb, and Elaine. Meeting called toorder at 10 AM. MInutes from July 18, 2009 meeting were read and approved. Next meeting will be the Semi annual meeting October 3, 2009.

TREASURER'S REPORT: Fran reported that 6 homeowners were unpaid. Unit 206 is going to Sheriff's sale in September and she will notify Sheriff's office of homeowner's debt. Unit 48 is in bankruptcy; action commenced in February and we were not notified so lien was not on property; we will file claim in bankruptcy court. If 167 and 23 are still outstanding by October, court action will be taken.

ARC REPORT:  No meeting this month. Verbal request was received for solar panel array; ie solar panels in yard. Will not approve without further investigation. Committee needs to get on regular schedule of meeting so can oversee that homeowners are maintaining their properties.

DRAINAGE: No new projects. Committee will be absorbed back into Ponds unless further activity is required.

LANDSCAPING: RFP's were sent out for new two year contract. Met with one who was informative. Bids should be in by September 28th. Tony got prices for firethorn bushes 3 gallon size: $15 per, to put near BB fence.

POOL: Mike reported that we will need to use some money from reserves to replace pump. A part has broken; 15 years old. Was temporarily fixed but difficult to find parts.Pool volunteers for cleaning had a very successful year.

PONDS: One aerator is out ( duck is resting on it!). Will get it checked. Grass around ponds is too wide; wil ask landscaper to cut a narrower swath.

ROADS/SIDEWALKS: Mike reported paving project to begin after Labor Day.

TREES: Nothing at this time.

OLD BUSINESS: 1.. BB fence: still pursuing Delmarva Power right of way approval. We need new estimates for fence. 2. By Laws: nothing at this time. 3. Clearwater Current: in lieu of will send postcards announcing Semi Annual meeting. Semi annual meeting will be same format; reports from committees and then new business. 4. Food Drive very successful.

NEW BUSINESS: Annual meeting will be February 2010 at Library.

There is a petition with Ocean View from property owners adjacent to Clearwater requesting annexation by Ocean View. Will need to keep abreast of this.
